Americas > USA
America
has something for everyone, from The Rockies to the Great
Plains, from the tropical south to the sometimes frozen north! It’s full of breathtaking scenery, unparalleled
entertainment and some of the friendliest residents you will ever meet. From New York’s famous skyline in the East to San
Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge in the West, America is full of
instantly-recognisable landmarks straight out of the movies.
America’s cities are some of the most vibrant in the
world. The mention of Los Angeles evokes images
of Hollywood
and movie stars – around every corner, visitors will find a familiar sight
straight from the silver screen. Walk down Hollywood Boulevard and check out the
famous names immortalised in the sidewalk or head to Malibu
and experience the Pacific Ocean
Baywatch-style!
Las Vegas is home to the world’s finest casinos and a
fantastic selection of live shows performed by international superstars. Come
and see why Elvis made Vegas his home – check out the glittering strip and
shimmering showgirls! If all the excitement gets too much, Las
Vegas is home to a number of America’s best golf courses, so you
can relax and take in a quick eighteen holes at PGA standard courses.
Nothing you read about
New York
could ever prepare you for the feeling when you step out of Grand Central
Station and into the world’s pulsating metropolis. While many places claim to
be a ‘city that never sleeps’, New
York is the real deal. Enjoy a mocca frappachino in
one of the city’s famous cafes, or check out the Statue of Liberty from a boat
ride along the Hudson River. Head to New York in January and
you will be treated to the greatest sales on Earth!
If anything, America’s
natural scenery is even more breathtaking than the delights of its cities. From
the familiar sights of the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone national park to the
stunning enormity of the Great Plains, the USA has nearly 10,000,000 KM2
of glorious countryside. Visit the scorched Mojave Desert and hunt for top-secret
UFO research base Area 52, which is rumoured to be there, or decamp for a
weekend of skiing on the stunning Rocky mountain range, which runs down from Canada through Western
America.
If America’s sheer size is too daunting, you could
always visit the 50th state – Hawaii.
A few hours West of the American mainland, Hawaii has a culture all of its own and is a
fantastic destination for tourists looking to unwind.
